(MENAFN) Hilton Hotel’s company is charged of 700,000 USD fine after being accused of not being able to handle two credit card data violations appropriately.
Over 363,000 accounts were risked in the 2014/15 attacks, although it’s still unknown if the executors were able to take out any details.
According to the government of the US, the company has taken a long time to notify the customers and was short on suitable security procedures.
The fine is to be divided between the states of New York and Vermont, and part of it is the guarantee of Hilton to reveal further violations faster and to carry out regular security tests, in addition to other improved security efforts.
