What are the requirements for NYS cadets? Applicants must be Kenyan citizens with a valid KRA and ID cards. Cadets must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum KCSE grade C+ (plus), while Privates must hold a KCSE grade C- (Minus) or diploma and above must have an NYS discharge certificate Applicants must be between 18 and 28 years old and have no criminal record. Candidates must be medically fit. Successful candidates must comply with Chapter Six of the Constitution. “Applicants who meet the above requirements are required to download and complete the application for Employment Form – PSC.2 (Revised 2016) from the Public Service Commission website.
