Kenyan content creator and influencer Ruth K has finally spoken out following claims from former associate Ann Waithera, popularly known as Bush Tailor, about alleged unpaid management fees.
The drama, which dominated social feeds in early 2026, has taken a new twist after Ruth clarified that she never had a manager and that all her accounts were managed by her husband before they separated in May 2025.
The Origins of the Dispute
The spat began when Waithera accused Ruth K of failing to pay management fees related to Ruth’s social media and brand projects.
Screenshots of Waithera’s posts circulated widely, igniting speculation about financial mismanagement and alleged betrayal.

Ruth responded publicly, insisting that she had never hired a formal manager.
She explained that her boyfriend, before their breakup in May 2025, was the one who managed her social media accounts, brand deals, and online content.
“I’m honestly confused where this ‘management fee’ claim even comes from. I never had a manager. Everything was handled by my husband until we parted ways,” Ruth said in her statement.
How It Escalated
The disagreement blew up after Ruth discovered that some of her digital assets, including her son’s Instagram and TikTok accounts, were compromised, with passwords and linked emails altered.
Ruth claims that these breaches happened after she allowed Waithera temporary access to a phone to assist with certain tasks.
“I am no longer working with, associated with, or affiliated with Ann Waithera or any of her entities. I simply cannot risk my digital assets or my family accounts,” she added.
Fans on social media were quick to react, with many expressing support for Ruth’s stance.

Several users highlighted the importance of trust when sharing account access and praised Ruth for openly clarifying the misunderstanding.
The Clarification
The feud illustrates the complexities of digital content management, especially for influencers whose accounts double as businesses.
Ruth’s clarification shows that misunderstandings around management arrangements can easily spiral into public drama if not properly documented.
“Boundaries are everything,” one fan commented, echoing Ruth’s decision to publicly distance herself from Waithera and secure her accounts.
On the other hand, Ann Waithera denied the hacking allegations and accused Ruth K of faking her son’s crying to gain attention from comedian Mulamwah, who is the child’s father.
