Kenyan gospel singer Mr Seed has shared a harrowing update with fans after surviving a car accident on New Year’s Day.
The musician took to social media to document the wreckage, expressing gratitude for his life following the late-night ordeal.
Grim Scenes from the Crash Site
The artist shared several video clips on his Instagram stories, painting a vivid picture of the impact.
One clip shows a completely mangled wheel rim and a shredded tyre lying detached on the asphalt. Bystanders are seen gathered around the debris in the darkness as the singer filmed the aftermath.
Further footage reveals the rear of a silver vehicle, bearing the registration KBR, with significant structural damage.
The bumper appears partially torn off, and the taillight area is smashed. Despite the severity of the damage, Mr Seed’s messages were focused on survival and faith.
“How my year has started. The devil is a liar,” he wrote in one of the captions.
In another post, he provided a brief but reassuring update for his followers, stating:
“Glory to God, we are alive.”
A Pattern of Near-Misses for Celebrities
Mr Seed is not the only high-profile Kenyan personality to face a life-threatening road incident. The news of his crash has reminded many of the dangers faced on the road, particularly during the festive season.
Radio host Nick Odhiambo is another survivor of a serious road accident. On 31st December, the veteran presenter was involved in a crash that left his vehicle badly damaged.
Like Mr Seed, he used his platform to highlight the fragility of life.
Odhiambo admitted that he was solely to blame for the accident, saying he decided to drive while exhausted and subsequently apologised to his kids for his recklessness.

Road Safety During the Festive Season
Road accidents in Kenya often spike during the Christmas and New Year period. According to the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), thousands of lives are lost annually on Kenyan roads due to various factors, including speeding and poor road conditions.
• In 2023, over 4,300 people lost their lives in road accidents across the country.
• Pedestrians and motorcyclists remain the most vulnerable groups.
• The NTSA often increases surveillance during the New Year period to curb these figures.
