The head of state was in the county for the Baringo Cultural Festival and also participated in the Kimalel goat auction. “The event highlighted local culture and the strength of livestock farming. The president’s support is driving economic growth, preserving traditions and boosting tourism in the Kerio belt. It is a big plus for communities, fostering peace and prosperity in the Kerio Valley Triangle,” Sudi wrote.
Did Ruto match outfits with George? Ruto, then the deputy president, adopted Nadia in 2015 during a visit to Madre Ippolata Children’s Home in Machakos County. He had been invited to assist the facility, which is managed by Catholic nuns, in its fundraising efforts. The occasion became deeply moving when Ruto learned about a newborn infant whom the nuns had saved after discovering her buried alive and left to die. Profoundly affected by this tragic account, Ruto chose to welcome the child into his household through adoption. He gave her the name Nadia Cherono, honouring his own mother. One of the images shared showed the president and the first son in matching outfits. Ruto wore formal black trousers, a white shirt, and black shoes. He completed the look with a black fedora and a walking stick. George also wore a white shirt but opted for a more casual look with cargo pants and sneakers.
