Former TV anchor and ex-State House spokesperson Kanze Dena has opened up about co-parenting with her baby. Kanze Dena has opened up about co-parenting with her baby daddy for 19 years. Earlier, TUKO.co.ke featured the Kiswahili scribe after she narrated how she lost her firstborn, three months after birth. She revealed that the man who got her pregnant had ditched her, and that she was planning on how to raise the kid before they passed away. Kanze also shared that when she got pregnant she was so scared because she was young and that she was worried about what her mother would say.
She added that she was surprised when she saw her mother and her aunt coming to look for her after they found out about the news. Why didn’t Kanze Dena marry her baby daddy? However, in the same interview with Bahari FM, she also shared why she never married her baby daddy. “I gave birth to another child who is now 19 years old. At the time, when I gave birth, he and I could not agree to live together. We had been together for a while but I had told myself, in my heart that I do not want to get married because I got pregnant with someone’s child. I want to get married because someone loves me. He should marry me because he loves me and not because I am pregnant,” she said. According to Kanze from then, they started having issues before she decided to give up on the relationship.
“I gave up and because God had already blessed me with a job, I decided to struggle on that. But for those 19 years, we did co-parent. He has been in his son’s life for all those 19 years. He is also married and so am I. Everybody has their own family but we have managed to raise this child until he is now 19,” she added.
