The Story Behind Azziad Nasenya’s Heartfelt Speech to Vera Sidika

Kenyan media personality and TikTok star Azziad Nasenya has opened up about the role Vera Sidika played in her life during one of the most difficult seasons she has ever faced.

Speaking at Vera’s party last night, Azziad expressed heartfelt gratitude, revealing that when everything in her life seemed to be falling apart, Vera was one of the few people who genuinely reached out to check on her.

According to her, very few celebrities made the effort to show support during that time, and Vera was among the three who actually stood by her.

“When I was going down, she is one of the three celebrities who literally checked on me,” Azziad said, as the crowd responded with cheers and applause.

Her words not only highlighted the depth of Vera’s gesture but also painted a picture of how much simple acts of kindness can mean in a world where many people are quick to criticize but slow to offer support.

Background of Rumours and Scrutiny

The public acknowledgement comes in the wake of past allegations about Azziad’s finances. She had previously faced claims that she borrowed money to sustain her lifestyle—allegations she firmly denied.

As a radio presenter and content creator, Azziad maintained that her success is built on consistency and hard work.

Speaking in a video shared on Sound City, she dismissed the rumours as gossip and questioned why society often doubts the achievements of young women.

The rumours gained traction after blogger Edgar Obare shared messages from anonymous sources, but Azziad’s earlier interview with filmmaker Phil Karanja offered a different perspective.

In the clip, she openly stated that she prefers making her own money rather than borrowing.

“There is satisfaction in making money from your own hard work. I sleep well knowing that I made that KSh 50 on my own. I don’t know how to beg, and I never want to put myself in a position where I have to,” she said.
