Bahati’s Generous Act Helps Struggling Rapper Maddoxx of Boondocks Gang

Kenyan singer Bahati has once again extended a helping hand through his Bahati Cares initiative.

This time, he reached out to Maddoxx, a former member of the popular Gengetone group, the Boondocks Gang, who has been facing severe hardship since his rise to fame.

A Rapper’s Hardship

Bahati found Maddoxx after learning that the rapper had gone for three days without food. In an emotional video, Maddoxx confessed to the difficulties he has been living with.

He had gone three days without a meal.

He sometimes had to sleep outside when his brother wasn’t home.

He admitted to feeling constant stress and anxiety.

Maddoxx explained that his situation worsened after he lost the support of his management and left his former home in Kosovo.

The pressure of his circumstances pushed him back into old habits as he struggled to find stability.

“Stress, anxiety, not knowing what to do, not knowing where to sleep.”

A Timely Intervention

Moved by the rapper’s story, Bahati immediately stepped in. He bought Maddoxx chicken and pizza, something the rapper hadn’t tasted in months.“I just want to make someone’s day.”

Bahati then took Maddoxx to a supermarket to buy groceries and other essentials. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Maddoxx broke into prayer and song, thanking God for the help. He also made a heartfelt request to Bahati: to help him get back into the studio.“At least I have something to eat.”

Meanwhile, @lynn_wanjiru praised the effort, noting: “At least Maddoxx has food and a smile today, that’s what matters.”
