US Administration Moves to Deport Foreigners Celebrating Charlie Kirk’s Death

Conservative political commentator Charlie Kirk, aged 31, was tragically shot and killed in Orem, Utah, on Wednesday, 10 September 2025, while speaking at Utah Valley University.

His assassination has ignited widespread outrage and led to immediate action from the US administration.

President Donald Trump’s government is now seeking to deport foreigners residing in the United States who have publicly celebrated or mocked Kirk’s death.

Crackdown on Critics

According to The Guardian, three members of Florida’s Cabinet have voiced strong support for the US Department of State to revoke visas of legal immigrants found celebrating Kirk’s murder.

Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia and Attorney General James Uthmeier stated that admission to the US is a “privilege,” not a right.

Ingoglia remarked, “If they’re caught celebrating the assassination of someone expressing free speech, they obviously haven’t learned the lesson”.

Kiersten Pels, the GOP’s national press secretary, affirmed the administration’s position:

“The Trump administration is absolutely correct to look at revoking the visas of anyone who shows such a blatant disregard for American lives”.

The Department of State has instructed staff to “undertake appropriate action” against individuals “glorifying” Kirk’s death.

Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau declared that “foreigners who glorify violence and hatred are not welcome visitors to our country”.

The publication also revealed that Secretary of State Marco Rubio explicitly confirmed that visa cancellations are already in progress.

This policy aligns with previous actions by the Trump administration, such as revoking student visas for foreign-born pro-Palestine protesters identified through artificial intelligence.

Honouring Kirk’s Legacy

Amidst these developments, plans are underway to honour Charlie Kirk, a close ally of President Trump.

President Trump had early announced that Kirk would posthumously receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
