Businessman and musician KRG the Don has expressed his stance on the ongoing online row between Kenya and Tanzania.
Kenyans have been attacking Tanzanians online, especially their president Samia Suluhu Hassan, following the expulsion of Kenyan activists who traveled to follow the treason trial of Tundu Lissu, some of whom were held incommunicado for days.
While many Kenyans have been seen accusing President Samia of what they claim are human rights abuses against activist Boniface Mwangi who was detained for 4 days before being dumped at Ukunda in the Kenya-Tanzania border, KRG has differed with them, saying that some activists may be doing their activities for pay.

Speaking to entertainment journalists at an event hosted by comedian YY Comedian, KRG said that many activists have been paid to push the agendas of people he couldn’t name.
“People should look at who these activists are. Because there are some activists who are businessmen, they are not fighting for Kenyans, if they were fighting for Kenyans they would be doing different things, but those are businessmen, they are paid to push the agendas of certain people,” KRG said.
However, the self-claimed billionaire made it clear that not all activists are in business, but there are some who are focused on defending human rights in truth.
Bughaa declared his love for the nation of Tanzania and his support for President Samia Suluhu to emerge victorious in the country’s general election scheduled to be held in October this year.
“I love Tanzanians, they are my brothers and they love me very much. When I go to them, they welcome me like I am welcomed here at home. I even want to do business there,” Bughaa said.

“Soon I even want to go there to support President Mama Samia to serve for another 5 years because she has led Tanzania well,” he added.
KRG also said that President Samia does not owe any kind of apology to Kenyans who have been pressuring him to tear down and apologize for his remarks last week about the behavior of activists from Kenya.
“She is not asking for forgiveness, she is the president. What is she asking for forgiveness for, she is doing the job assigned to her by the Constitution and the people of Tanzania. She must protect her country from external and internal threats. She cannot allow her country to be destabilized by people who do not live there,” KRG strongly defended President Samia.
The KRG continued to blame the Kenyan activists, saying that what they had done in Tanzania was stage managing their theatrics for sympathy.
Last week during the treason trial against opposition politician Tundu Lissu, who is also the chairman of the opposition CHADEMA party, several activists and lawyers from Kenya traveled to attend the trial.
However, most of them were denied entry into Tanzania at Julius Nyerere Airport, with former Chief Justice David Magara being the only one granted access.
Those denied entry into Tanzania and turned back at the airport included retired Chief Justice Willy Mutunga, activists Hanifa Farsafi and Hussein Khalid, and lawyer Martha Karua.
Boniface Mwangi, who had already entered Tanzania, was followed to his hotel room where officers arrested him and held him incommunicado for 4 days before releasing him in agony due to what he said was severe torture at their hands.
