Eric Omondi has come to his wife, Lynn Njihia’s defense regarding her recent drastic weight loss. Following the birth of their daughter,
Lynn has shed a significant amount of weight, which has sparked discussions on social media.
In a recent interview with Trudy Kituyi, Eric addressed the criticism surrounding his wife’s transformation. He firmly stated that Lynn is young and has every right to look good and feel confident about herself.
Responding to rumours suggesting that her weight loss could be linked to stress from their relationship, Eric said,
“People will always have something to say. If she had gained weight, they would have talked. Now that she has lost weight, they are still talking. What do they expect?”
He stated that no matter the situation, people will always comment on her appearance.

Eric continued, “Lynn is young—do people expect her to gain weight and look like a mother figure? If she had put on weight, they would have told her to go to the gym. Now that she works out, they claim she’s stressed. Let Lynn enjoy herself, slay, and feels good.”
Lynn herself revealed her weight loss journey in a post from late 2024, where she proudly shared that she had lost 17kg in just eight months.
She wrote, “This is what 8 months of consistency and discipline will get you. 17KGS DOWN! It wasn’t as easy as it seemed—it took sweat and tears. I feel lighter, healthier, and it feels amazing to be a size Small. I AM PROUD OF MYSELF.”
Her transformation has garnered mixed reactions from fans. While many praised her determination and discipline, others reminisced about her curvier physique, suggesting she should have embraced her “thick” body.
The term “thick” can be empowering and complimentary for some, as it refers to women with curvaceous figures that are often deemed attractive
According to the Urban Dictionary, “thick” describes women who are not fat but have a solid body type with curves like big hips, a small waist, and a full backside.
On the other hand, a slim figure is often regarded as an attractively thin and well-shaped body, as noted in the Slims Dictionary.
The body image debate continues to evolve, with different individuals and celebrities choosing different paths in their weight loss journeys.

Lynn’s weight loss has prompted various reactions from her followers. Some comments included:
- suzzy_spiky: “Don’t lose more weight 😭”
- mum_tina: “Hii kukonda sipendi mimi mungu nisikonde akiii😢”
- bridget_gakii: “Mtu akiadd weight umenona. Akiloose add some weight😂 wakenya wacheni”
- magiedalyn: “You look good and very light, wachana na watu!😍😍”
- beatricemulwa: “Weuh, umeslim sana mami, but if it makes you happy then people should just let you be…”
- queenybilinga: “Usikonde zaidi hapo weeeeh, adi shingo.”
- joyrobert254: “Baby girl, please, don’t listen to these noises. If only they know the struggle of losing weight! Oh my God! Just let her be… I’m in that process right now and seeing all these, wow! People can be so discouraging 😫”
- neilla_ndinda: “It’s funny how people feel entitled to give other people advice about their bodies. Wueh!”
While opinions vary, what remains clear is that Lynn has gained confidence through her transformation and is proud of her journey. As Eric Omondi put it, “As long as she loves how she looks, that’s what matters.”
