Despite going viral online, she struggled to stay in school due to numerous challenges, including fee arrears and a one-hour trek to school. That was until a group of fans got wind of her heartbreaking story and launched an initiative to provide her with a better education opportunity. . After weeks of searching, the well-wishers secured a place for her at Itigo Girls High School.
To add icing to the cake, the school allowed her producer to visit and create videos about her school life. On Thursday, January 10, Chebet shared the results of her sister, Deborah Chemtai Naibei. The girl studied at St Mary’s Sosio Secondary School and got a C+. A breakdown of the results showed that Chemtai got a D plain in math, biology, and chemistry. She scored a B plain in Kiswahili and CRE and a B—in geography. Chemtai scored C+ in business studies and biology. “Congratulations,” Chebet posted while sharing her sister’s photo.
