A priest smacked an altar boy during a wedding.

A video of a priest assaulting an altar boy during a wedding has angered many Kenyans. A priest smacked an altar boy during a wedding. Why did priest hit altar boy? The video showed the priest taking the couple through their vows as an altar boy held a microphone. The priest repeatedly instructed the altar boy to hold the microphone closer to the groom’s mouth before losing patience. He pushed the altar boy’s hand nearer the groom’s mouth forcefully. The priest then struck the boy on the head.

The people who witnessed the action seemed unmoved, as nobody raised an issue. However, Kenyans on social media criticised the priest, saying it was wrong for him to assault the boy. Here are some of the comments: eugine_lk: “That’s very wrong.” jayce_kevo” “Was the ngoto necessary?” stella_situma: “Yoooo, physical abuse at the altar. As a bride, I just walk out.” Niitesavage: “You might find that the bride was the pastor’s crush.” majesti.official_: “This preacher seems to have anger issues.” _._clout_: “That pastor must have been a math teacher.” Rispernjerii: “If I were the altar boy, I would have immediately left the altar.”
