Kenyan content creator Baba Talisha has posted a detailed message about his wife, Miss Wanjey, following a six-week period of health struggles. The update comes after Miss Wanjey shared on Instagram that her husband is dealing with an unexplained eye condition.
The illness has affected his eyesight significantly. Severe sensitivity to light has left him resting in bed for most of his time. He is unable to drive, and a driver now takes him to medical appointments.
“For the past six weeks, this woman has stood beside me every single day, silently, selflessly, and single-handedly taking care of me,” he revealed.

Medical Uncertainty and Shifting Support
Miss Wanjey has taken full control of all business communications while her husband recovers. She described the situation as a challenging journey for their family.
“Despite ongoing medical consultations, treatment and numerous check-ups, we are yet to receive conclusive answers about his condition,” Miss Wanjey stated.
In his message, Baba Talisha addressed how people around him reacted to his illness. He noted that some acquaintances checked in, some stayed, and others grew silent.
“Some friends left. Some stayed. Some checked in, while others went silent,” he wrote.
“But through it all, she never looked around to see who was coming, who was leaving, or who wasn’t showing up. She just stayed. She showed up for me every single day.”
The Reality of Marriage and Sacrifice
Baba Talisha reflected on what the past six weeks revealed to him about marital commitment. He emphasised that true partnership goes beyond pleasant moments.
“Marriage is not just about butterflies, beautiful pictures, romantic dates, and the good times we share with the world,” he explained. “It’s about who stays when life stops being beautiful.

Who holds you together when you’re falling apart. Who chooses you even when loving you requires sacrifice, patience, sleepless nights, and strength.”
He stressed that emotional affection alone is insufficient during difficult times.
“I’ve learned that love alone is never enough,” he stated. “It takes commitment. Maturity. Sacrifice. Loyalty. And the courage to stand beside each other through the ugly, painful, and uncertain seasons of life.”
Gratitude and Advice to Others
Baba Talisha described watching his wife sacrifice her comfort, time, and sleep without complaint or keeping score.
“Your partner is the person who may one day sit beside you as you grieve your parents, hold your hand through your darkest moments, or even bathe you when you’re too weak to stand on your own,” he noted.

He added that adversity clarifies who remains genuinely supportive.
“Life has a way of showing you who is truly in your corner. And in one of my most difficult seasons, I didn’t have to look far. You were right there beside me,” he shared.
Concluding his post, Baba Talisha offered advice on choosing a life companion.
“If these six weeks have taught me anything, it’s this: Marry someone who doesn’t just want to enjoy life with you, but someone willing to walk through life’s storms with you,” he wrote.
He ended with a direct note to his wife: “Thank you, my love. I see you. I appreciate you. And I will never take your love for granted.”
