Kenyan Digital Creator Njambi Fever has said she is looking for a wife by December, offering to pay her rent and Wi-Fi bills and give her a KSh 30,000 monthly allowance.
In a video posted on Instagram, she also listed her requirements. The woman must be able to cook, enjoy ironing and have no children of her own.
In the video, Njambi said the woman she wants to marry must know how to cook and enjoy ironing clothes.
“…you have to know how to cook…”, she said.
She also said the candidate should not have children of her own. Njambi explained that she already has a child, who has a nanny but will sometimes need the wife’s attention.
“I’m going to post a list of the type of woman i want…,” she said.
In return, she promised to pay the rent and Wi-Fi bills. She also offered a monthly allowance of KSh 30,000 for personal spending.
Njambi set a deadline for the arrangement.
“By December, you should already be my wife because I want a wife, not a husband,” she said.
Kenyans react
The video drew a mixed response online.
Some viewers found it funny. Others questioned whether the conditions were realistic. Some of her followers wondered if it was a move to stay in the public eye.
Several commenters said the requirements matched what is traditionally expected of women in many Kenyan households. Some said the video reflected long-held norms around marriage and domestic roles.
