Former Machachari actor Ian Nene has sent a playful but direct message to fans and social media users who may be asking too many questions or getting too involved in his business.
Nene, who became a household name as Almasi on the popular Kenyan children’s show, shared a short video on Instagram on Thursday, September 24, asking people to simply leave him alone.
The clip was filmed in a close-up, selfie-style format, with Nene speaking and rapping directly to the camera.
Bold text on the video described it as a “Public service announcement”, while another message encouraged viewers to send the clip to someone who needed to hear it.
Almasi has a message.
Rather than delivering a serious statement, Nene turned his request for privacy into a comedy skit.
He repeatedly tells people to leave him alone before questioning why they would bother him when they barely know him.
“Leave me alone, leave me alone, don’t ask me questions, I ain’t even got my number on your phone.”
Nene continues with the mock-serious rant before ending the video with a simple but emphatic plea.
“Please. Please.”

Almasi’s Life Away From the Spotlight
Ian Nene, popularly known as Almasi from Machachari, has taken a very different path since his days as a child star.
After leaving the popular Citizen TV show, Nene moved to the UK to pursue his studies. His time abroad also introduced him to a deeper interest in spirituality.
