Kenyan entrepreneur and beauty mogul Huddah Monroe has responded to intense online speculation. She has promised to purchase a fake TikTok account that uses her name and videos.
Monroe made this declaration after the imposter account gained significant traction by sharing a throwback video of her and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.
Monroe clarified that she is only active on Instagram. She explained that she does not control the viral TikTok page. However, she has set a clear target for when she will take over the account.
The Half-Million Vow
Monroe addressed the situation directly through her Instagram stories. She revealed her plan to buy the account once it reaches a major milestone (from Image 1).
” Y’all are literally God-sent. I don’t have an active tiktok but that tiktok page is my favorite too. When that TikTok page reaches 500,000 I’ll buy it for sure,” she said.
The socialite seemed amused by the imposter’s efforts. She encouraged the creator to continue posting, viewing the page as free publicity.
Monroe also noted that the page saves her from the pressure of content creation. She pointed out that she can stay offline for up to six months, yet her name still generates traffic.
“I do not have a posting struggle like y’all. I don’t need to post every day, Someone always does it for me without my knowledge.”
Cosy Throwback Sparks Online Stir
The online frenzy began when the fake TikTok account posted an old video. The clip showed Monroe and Tanzanian R&B star Juma Jux sharing a cosy moment.
The video resurfaced during a viral “#FreeJumaJux” campaign on social media. Fans had been joking about Jux’s weight. The timing of the TikTok upload led many followers to believe Monroe was trying to shade Jux’s wife, Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo. Jux and Ojo married in early 2025 and welcomed a son, Rakeem, in August 2025.
Social media users quickly flooded Monroe’s Instagram with comments.One verified user, fola_uk, commented: “Hey ex why are you stressing a married man?” Monroe immediately shut down the rumours.
“I am nobody’s ex Never claimed a man online What is the one drinking?” she clapped back.
Off the GridThe beauty business owner explained that she was initially unaware of the drama. She admitted that she regularly clears her inbox.
“I always click Delete all on all my DMs. I do not have time to read DMs. So I really don’t know what’s going on,” she added.
Monroe emphasised that her main platform is Instagram, where she uses the handle @huddahthebosschick. Her official TikTok account, @huddahricher, remains completely off the grid. She added that she does not use her real name on other platforms like Snapchat.
