Kaguta and Kandu, who emerged as the overall gross winners in last year’s edition, will be seeking to replicate their performances when the Nyali tournament gets underway.
Golfers will compete in the Overall Men Gross, Overall Ladies Gross, Division Two (men and ladies), Division Three (Overall and Junior categories), with the respective winners securing berths at the season-ending Grand Finale.
The Mombasa leg follows the Nyahururu Golf Club tournament held on August 8, where Cyrus Lwenyi emerged overall winner with a gross score of 78.
Simon Ngugi claimed the Division One Men’s title with 81 gross, while Susan Hiuko won the corresponding ladies category. Jobsam Njoroge triumphed in the Junior category to earn a Grand Finale slot.
Meanwhile, NCBA will extend its support for junior golf this weekend with the opening event of the 2026 NCBA U.S. Kids Golf Nairobi Fall Local Tour at Thika Greens Golf Resort on Sunday, August 23.
The tournament will bring together boys and girls aged five to 18, competing in age-appropriate divisions designed to provide competitive experience and support their development.
The Nairobi Fall Local Tour will visit Thika Greens, Ruiru, Limuru, Muthaiga, Migaa, Thika Sports and Royal Nairobi before culminating in the Tour Championship at VetLab Sports Club.
The programme is organised in partnership with U.S. Kids Golf and the Junior Golf Foundation Kenya, with support from NCBA. The young golfers will also earn Priority Status points that could qualify them for U.S. Kids Golf international events, including the Regional Invitational and Regional Championship.
NCBA’s golf activities will also extend to other events this weekend, including the Patron’s Cup at Muthaiga Golf Club from August 21-23, the Strathmore Alumni Golf Tournament at Migaa GC today, and the Limuru Chairman’s Prize( Saturday).
The Mombasa Kambasome Golf Tournament will also be held at Mombasa Golf Club on Saturday.
