“Forex Needs Smart People”: Nebz Tells Grade E Students Not to Message Him

Popular Kenyan forex trader and online personality Nebz Mordechai has once again ignited conversation on social media after making a bold statement about who is suited for the forex trading business.

In a post that has quickly gone viral, Nebz suggested that success in forex trading requires a high level of intelligence, adding that people who performed poorly academically should not approach him for mentorship.

“Forex Needs Smart People”

Nebz said: “Forex Lazima Ukuwe Smart. Haitaki Watu Wa E. Kama Wewe Ni Mtu Wa E, Usini DM. Utakuja Kunisumbua Bure. Enda Ukuwe DJ.”
Loosely translated, he was saying that forex trading is for intelligent people, not those who scored an E in school. He also jokingly advised anyone who earned an E grade not to message him because they would only waste his time, suggesting they pursue a different career instead.

Mixed Reactions Online

As expected, the remarks divided opinion among Kenyans on social media.
Some users agreed with Nebz, arguing that forex trading involves understanding technical analysis, risk management, market psychology, and discipline, making it a field that requires continuous learning and analytical thinking.
Others, however, felt his comments were unnecessarily dismissive, pointing out that academic grades do not always determine intelligence or a person’s ability to succeed in business. Many highlighted examples of successful entrepreneurs and investors who did not excel in school but built thriving careers through experience, persistence, and practical skills.

Forex Trading and Intelligence

While forex trading does require knowledge, patience, and the ability to analyze financial markets, experts often emphasize that consistent profitability comes more from education, discipline, and risk management than from academic performance alone.
Many successful traders have diverse educational backgrounds, while countless beginners improve over time through practice and continuous learning.
