Kenyan businessman Jimal Rohosafi has advised Kenyan men to step up and pay their women’s bills instead of being kept.
He was speaking in response to a viral interview of TikToker Alma Mutheu who alleged that her boyfriend Gift Muziq for not providing. Jimal now says most women keep women to save face.
“Mambo ya wanaume kuwekwa si geni jijini I support Alma, mwanume ni bills not cost sharing, I know a lot of female celebrities here in Kenya wameweka wanaume in the name of brand and face but deep down they are broken.”

In a recent interview with Oga Obinna, Alma expressed her disappointment at being the alleged provider in the relationship.
“I met Gift while I was still an influencer, love won. Many people advised me to leave him but I loved him. He is my man so I decided to give him a chance, It has reached a point where he is still looking.”
She was asked why she kept saying she was in love, and whether that meant she no longer loved him.
“I was in love, I have not stopped being in love so don’t get me wrong. He supports me by helping me shoot content for free. I told him I would be paying but he refused. In the second year of dating we started having a lot of arguments because of financial issues.”

Alma also revealed that they cost-share bills;
“He buys food sometimes. He came to my place, from there we agreed to cost share because I cannot pay for everything. It gets to a certain point as a woman you get tired of doing everything. It is not everyone who is able to do stuff.
But you cannot stay with someone for 2 years and you are still providing as a woman. As a woman, I want to be taken of.”
Defending himself Gift shared;
“People will talk, but no one knows where Alma and I have come from. One thing I love about her, she is very supportive and the fact that she pushes me is not something I take negatively.”
Obinna asked Kenyans not to be harsh on the TikToker as she is only saying what she felt.
“Do not be hard on Alma she is speaking her truth to her man, they have been dating for two years, so she knows, she had not had an avenue to share it, but see God. Just appreciate it and do better.”
