Kenyan content creator Shorn Arwa has revealed that she and her sister no longer live together, saying the decision followed a difficult period in their relationship.
In the close-up, selfie-style video posted on Instagram, Arwa spoke frankly about her relationship with her sister and the events that led to their separation.
Driven By Goals
The clip was somber and confessional in tone, and it has drawn a strong response from her followers.
Arwa described herself as intensely goal-oriented, saying she keeps lists, chases targets and is driven partly by a wish to prove her doubters wrong.
“I’m the type of person who wants to do… I have like a list,” she said.
She added that anyone who had made life harder for her in the past should expect her to return stronger.
“I told you my sister, we gotta prove all of them wrong, we need to constantly hustle,” she said.

Arwa acknowledged that this relentless approach may not have suited everyone around her, including her sister.
“Maybe she wasn’t like me. And maybe I pushed a little too hard because I constantly tell her, you can’t do this, you can’t do this, do this, do this,” she said.
The Turning Point
Arwa said the turning point came when she reached her emotional limit.
She described a lifestyle her sister had adopted that she felt she could not accommodate in her home. She did not go into specific detail.

“It’s safe to say the stress and the things of the world got the better part of her and maybe she couldn’t just do it anymore,” she said, her voice heavy with emotion.
Instead of forcing a confrontation, Arwa said she decided to step back and love her sister from a distance.
“I got to a point where I needed to love her from afar and say I love you but this I will not take,” she said.
Her sister has since moved in with their brother.
Arwa said the door is not closed for good. If her sister’s circumstances change and she gets to a better place, she said, a reconciliation could be possible in future.
