Kenyan digital content creator Millicent Ayuwa, popularly known as Dem wa Facebook or Mama Twins, has shared details about her early life, career milestones, and personal journey.
During a candid interview with Mpasho’s Kalondu, the 27-year-old creator reflected on her childhood roots, revealing that her family initially gave her a traditional nickname reflecting her active nature.
“Walikuwa wananiita kwa Kiluhya Nangendo—msichana mwenye hakuwa anakaa chini.”
Standing at 5 feet tall, the online personality will be turning 28 later this year. Before gaining widespread recognition across digital platforms, her journey in the informal business sector started with modest beginnings.
Her very first job involved hawking socks on the streets to make ends meet.
“Kuuza socks” ,she said.
Her consistent efforts on social media eventually paid off, leading to brand endorsements, content monetization, and major business deals.
She revealed that she earned her first Sh1 million in 2023, marking a major turning point in her financial status and online career.

Personal Life and Music Preferences
Despite her high public profile and frequent interactions with fans online, Dem wa Facebook keeps details about her private life closely guarded. When asked about her children, she playfully side-stepped the question.
“Will we ever see your baby? No.”
She also opened up about her music tastes, naming Tanzanian Bongo Flava star Alikiba as one of her absolute favourite musicians. She recalled a memorable moment when his hit song Dodo provided the soundtrack to a past relationship right before it ended.

She broke into song during the interview, reciting lyrics from the track: “Aliniimbia wimbo nikiwa kwa relationship ya ex wangu before aniache… Kupendwa ni vitendo, si maneno maneno.”
