Eliud Kipchoge has received the 159th and final unit of the Kipchoge 1:59 Limited Edition Isuzu D-Max, bringing to a close a special vehicle series created to celebrate his remarkable journey of pushing limits.
The handover marks the completion of a run of just 159 vehicles, each carrying Kipchoge’s name and signature while reflecting the values associated with his pursuit of excellence.
Kipchoge described the moment as a joyful one, expressing his appreciation to his Isuzu East Africa family for presenting him with the final vehicle in the series.
“It’s a joy to receive the 159th and final Kipchoge 1:59 Limited Edition D-Max from my Isuzu East Africa family,” Kipchoge wrote.
From Vienna to Kenyan Roads
For Kipchoge, the number 159 carries a story that goes beyond the vehicles themselves.
It connects to his historic pursuit of breaking the two-hour marathon barrier, a feat he achieved in Vienna in 2019 when he became the first person to run a marathon distance under two hours in a controlled event.
The limited-edition D-Max series turned that achievement into something tangible, with 159 vehicles making their way onto Kenyan roads.
Kipchoge said each vehicle represents more than a number, describing the series as a story shared by 159 owners who believe in what can be achieved through commitment and trust in the process.
“From a Vienna morning to 159 vehicles on Kenyan roads, this is truly a story of 159 owners with a shared belief in what’s possible when you commit and trust the process,” he wrote.
