Businesswoman Mercy Kyallo, sister to media personality Betty Kyallo, has announced that she is expecting her first child with husband Marvin Gichuru.
The Yallo Leathers boss shared the news on Instagram, accompanied by intimate photos of the couple celebrating the pregnancy together.
The Announcement
In her caption, Mercy could not hide her excitement over the new chapter ahead.
“The greatest gift of our lives @marvin_g._gichuru and we can’t wait to meet you baby!” she wrote.
She also gave a sweet shoutout to the bakery behind her celebration cake, adding, “Cake from @angieskitchenandpastries.”
The Photos
One of the images shows Mercy and Marvin standing in a swimming pool, sharing a kiss while holding up a string of ultrasound scan pictures between them.
Another set of photos captures the couple posing indoors with a two-tier cake decorated in pink and blue, fitted with a fondant baby onesie reading “Baby On Board,” alongside tiny fondant baby shoes on top.
Marvin’s Reaction
Marvin, who was tagged in the pregnancy announcement, responded to the post with an emotional comment of his own.
“Sooo lovely. My heart can’t contain the joy. New member to the family,” he wrote.
Mercy’s sisters were quick to shower her with love in the comments section. Betty Kyallo, visibly thrilled for her younger sister, wrote:
“Congratulations my sweetheart! So so so happy for you and Marvin!”
Their other sister, Gloria Kyallo, also joined in with a short but warm message.
“Congratulations Mama,” she wrote.

Mercy and Marvin secretly tied the knot in 2024, having maintained a low-profile relationship for months before going public. The pair first connected over shared interests, including a mutual love for reading and, notably, conspiracy theories, something Mercy has openly laughed about as the spark behind some of their most interesting conversations.
Speaking previously about their engagement, Mercy clarified that it did not follow the typical dramatic proposal seen on social media, describing it instead as “mostly like a conversation.”
Mercy introduced Marvin to the public as her husband while unveiling the new four-bedroom home they had settled into together in Nairobi, surprising fans who had not been aware of how serious the relationship had become.
