Nameless Left Speechless After Daughter’s: “I Won’t Date Until 30” Challenge

Kenyan musician David Mathenge, better known as Nameless , shared a light-hearted Father’s Day moment after posting a video of himself dancing alongside his daughter.
The video was accompanied by a humorous message that appeared to explain why the veteran singer had found himself showing off his dance moves.

Written on the clip was the statement: “I told my dad that if he’s a good backup dancer, then I will not date until I am 30” 😭😭
The message suggested that Nameless’ daughter had challenged her father to prove his dancing skills, with the playful promise that she would delay dating until the age of 30 if he met the standard.
“Gen Alfa” Has Given Me Work
Sharing the video on Instagram, Nameless added a Swahili caption that reflected the challenge he had been handed.
Translated into English, the caption read: “Look at the work Gen Alfa is making me do! 🥵😅😅!!! Now, should I organise a show or will I be made to perform a dance instead?? 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️ Happy Father’s Day, my people 😊😎😎💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾.”
The singer jokingly implied that the younger generation, whom he referred to as “Gen Alfa”, was keeping him on his toes.
His remarks suggested that the dance challenge had become a full assignment, leaving him wondering whether he was preparing for a performance rather than simply spending time with his family.

A Father-Daughter Moment

The video centred on a playful exchange between father and daughter, with Nameless fully embracing the challenge. As the music played, the pair danced together while the text on the screen provided context for the moment.

Rather than a formal Father’s Day message, the clip captured a fun family interaction built around a joke between the two.

The challenge itself seemed simple: if Nameless could prove he was a good backup dancer, his daughter would supposedly postpone dating until she turned 30.
