Tanzanian Musician Barnaba Classic Devastated as Studio Burns to Ashes

Tanzanian artist Barnaba Classic has revealed that his music studios, HighTableSound Entertainment Company Ltd, and HighTable Film, were destroyed by fire in the early hours of the morning, leaving behind what he described as “ashes” after years of work and investment.
Fire Breaks Out After Late-Night Return
According to the singer, the fire started at around 2:30am shortly after he returned from his performance at Malkia wa Nguvu Arusha. Barnaba explained that after arriving back, he attended a family gathering before briefly passing by his office to greet people. He then went home. “About 15 minutes later, I received a call telling me the place was on fire,” he wrote.
The musician shared an emotional video showing him in tears as people around him tried to comfort him following the incident.
Recent Renovations Lost
The loss was especially painful for the artist because he had recently invested heavily in renovating the facility. “I completed renovations only two weeks ago at a huge cost,” he said.
Barnaba described music as his livelihood and noted that the studio had become an important space for many young people. “Music is my job. This place is dependent on many young people. My heart hurts. I have cried so much.”
He added that the headquarters of his company had been completely destroyed. “I am saddened to say our HQ has become ashes.” Despite the devastation, the singer said he was determined to rebuild. “I will start again. Life teaches us lessons, and I have accepted this as a lesson.”
Gratitude Amid Pain
While mourning the loss, Barnaba dedicated a large part of his statement to thanking those who helped during the emergency.  “Without forgetting the police force and the entire fire team, thank you.”
The artist also paid tribute to his landlord, whom he affectionately referred to as “Mama Mamy”,  “Thank you for being with me throughout this difficult day.”

Press Event Cancelled

Following the fire, Barnaba announced that he would no longer attend a scheduled media interview at the Selena Hotel.
He said all activities connected to the planned press appearance had been suspended as he focused on recovering from the incident. “Please pray for me. Thank you all, and may God help us all.”
The singer ended his message by urging people not to blame anyone for the tragedy. “This is not the time to accuse anybody. Everything happens according to God’s plan.”
