Constance Githinji: Autopsy confirms 22-year-old influencer was killed Source: Facebook Constance, fondly known to many as Connie, died on Saturday, April 25, after allegedly falling from the sixth floor of a short-stay apartment in Kileleshwa. Following her death, a man identified as Tony Odhiambo, who was in her company at the time of the incident, was arrested and later arraigned in court. What was Constance Githinji’s cause of death? An autopsy conducted on Thursday, April 30, established that the young influencer was killed, contradicting earlier claims made by Odhiambo.  Odhiambo had distanced himself from Constance’s death, alleging that she had harmed herself, leading to the fatality. However, according to the autopsy report conducted by government pathologists alongside those appointed by the family, as well as officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the injuries sustained by the ICT student were inconsistent with his account. Speaking to the media after the release of the results, Constance’s aunt detailed the extent of her injuries, some of which she is said to have sustained before the fall.

“Our niece had multiple injuries on various parts of her body. Her left hand was broken, both her legs were also broken, and she had abrasions on the back of her head. She had also been struck by a blunt object, and her left lung had collapsed,” she said. The family further revealed that Constance’s body has since been moved from the Nairobi Funeral Home to the Kenyatta University Funeral Home as burial preparations begin ahead of her send-off next week.  They expressed their desire for justice, urging authorities to treat the matter with the seriousness it deserves. “We pray that we get justice for Constance,” the aunt added. The suspect was remanded for 10 days as police continue with investigations. The two are said to have met on an online dating app with Constance travelling from Murang’a to meet him for the first time. Was the lady intoxicated ? Was the death premeditated? Where there are signs of struggle, blood spots or even signs suggesting the girl was killed before the purported murder.”

@the_croms: “The worst thing that can happen to one is to get dragged through the court of public opinion. It affects all, from criminal investigation, court decisions, and after that, life after whatever the eventuality is. This dude is in a tough spot, innocent or not.” @tigawanna: “Sad that there’re people who genuinely think they can do this and get away with it.” @SamKiura: “I don’t understand….why kill someone’s daughter?” @elomanabuike: “This pretty lady is no more . Justice should be served.”
