The grave mistake: Police exhume body wrongly buried in Vihiga

DCI officers from Nairobi have exhumed the body of a man who was buried mistakenly on March 23 in Mukuli village, Mbihi sub-county, Vihiga county.

This is after a family reported of a missing body of their kin and after a thorough investigation by the police, it was revealed that the body of the family from Kisii county was buried wrongly in Vihiga

While confirming the incident,Mbihi sub-county Assistant Chief Alex Omenda says that the Vihiga family buried the body of Polycarp Omari Ondieki wrongly last month after confusing it with the body of their real son Collins Onzore who died in Nairobi leading to the exhumation of the body following a court order

The body has been transported back to Nairobi in response to the court order while the Vihiga family conducting a second burial of their son Onzore whose body arrived from Nairobi

The burial was conducted yesterday night in accordance to the customs and traditions of the Maragoli Community
