Mumias East Member of Parliament, Peter Kalerwa Salasya, has once again left his followers surprised. The flamboyant politician recently took to social media to introduce another lookalike daughter. He revealed that the newborn is currently five weeks old.
The MP’s Vision for a Large Family
Salasya did not stop at introducing the child. He also shared his long-term family goals. He stated that he intends to have at least 12 children. Furthermore, the MP expressed his desire to have between three and five wives.
“My heart desires to have at least 12 children and at least three wives to 5 wives. I’m a polygamous man naturally,” Salasya posted.

The MP described his new daughter as being destined for greatness. He appears to be embracing his growing role as a father with pride, often joking about the physical similarities between himself and his children.
Fans React to the ‘Polygamous’ Goals
The MP’s revelations triggered a massive wave of reactions from his followers. While some supported his traditional outlook, many expressed shock at the speed of his family’s growth and his marital plans.
User @kikygatimu was supportive, commenting: “No problem Mzee, I like how you wanna continue the real African culture.”
Another follower, @chepkoechmelly, simply wrote: “Aya basi mhesh. Kaende kaende.”
However, other users were more critical of the MP’s news. @titowagithomo reacted with concern, stating: “Poverty is knocking at your door. Please ignore those thoughts. 😂😂😂😂😂 5 wives???”
The logistical and financial side of raising such a large family was also a point of discussion. User @jaymaimah25 commented: “Better have one that you’re taking care of kuliko kuzaa ka panya na unatuma 500 ka child support.”
Similarly, @annitah_james254 asked: “5 wives and how many baby mamas.”
The Rising Salasya Family
This latest announcement comes just months after the MP shared news of other additions to his family. In June 2025, Salasya introduced a baby boy. By December 2025, he had unveiled another daughter, Ameeliah Reign Kalerwa, who was born at AAR Hospital weighing 2.790 kilograms.
This is not the first time Salasya’s family life has faced public scrutiny. When his daughter Ameeliah was born in late 2025, social media users spent time analysing her birth notification.

“Mapua ya huyu mtoto ni ya Waluhya,” Salasya previously joked about his son, suggesting a DNA test was unnecessary.
Observers noted that the mother’s ID number began with “37,” leading to speculation that she was a “Gen-Z mother” born around 1999 or 2000. Commenters at the time, such as Elvis Mlb, noted: “The mother ID is 37; that must be a 20-year-old Gen-Z”.
Despite the ongoing debate regarding his bachelor status and his growing number of children, the MP remains upbeat. As @mecciiiie7 pointed out in the latest thread: “Huyu ni wapili bado kumi mhesh na bbymama bado watatu 😂😂😂.”
