A significant number of Kenyans are considering relocating to other East African countries, driven by a desire for better governance and improved economic conditions.
The foremost reason cited in a recent survey is the search for low corruption, accounting for 15.00% of the responses. This indicates a strong concern among citizens regarding integrity and transparency in the public sector at home.
Economic factors are also major motivators, with the Cost of living being the second-highest concern at 14.50%, followed closely by the general state of the Economy at 14.00%. This suggests that many Kenyans believe they could achieve a better quality of life and financial stability elsewhere in the region.
Non-economic factors also contribute to the push, including Safety 11.50% and a different Culture 11.00%.
Other reasons include Lifestyle 10.50%, Infrastructure 6.00%, and the availability of Job opportunities 5.75%.
