“This evening, I had the pleasure of meeting and having a candid discussion with my cousins from the Abagusii community in Seattle, Washington,” Gachagua said in a statement on X.

Gachagua noted that the community also understands the challenges that Kenya is undergoing and is committed to supporting positive change.

“It’s motivating to see our community members come together with concern, hope, and a shared desire to contribute to a better future,” he said.

His spouse, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, accompanied Gachagua for the discussions.

Gachagua left Kenya on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, for the United States, describing his visit as aimed at engaging with Kenyans in the diaspora and other international stakeholders.

The trip marks Gachagua’s first travel abroad since his removal from office in October 2024.

Gachagua, who now leads the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP), revealed last month that he would undertake a two-month tour of the US.

He is expected to visit Dallas, California, Seattle, Boston, and Baltimore, where he will hold town hall meetings and attend social gatherings to promote his agenda for the diaspora community.
