Kenya’s towering entertainment icon, Bradley Marongo, popularly known as Gen Z Goliath, has revealed how he got himself in musician Bien’s music project as a video King.
Speaking to bloggers at the JKIA while en route to Bucharest, Europe, where he is slated to commence an acting project, Marongo expressed his gratitude to Bien, while revealing that the artist is the one who requested him to appear in his album project.
“Bien is like my brother, from my home to his, motorbike fare is like Sh50. He called me and told me that he was preparing his album project and requested me to appear somewhere in his music just like a brother. I couldn’t turn him down,” Bradley revealed, adding that Bien arranged everything for his accommodation for that particular project.

Talking about his experience working with East Africa’s most sought-after musician, Bradley said that he was such an amazing soul and that it was his first time meeting with him, but their energy synced well.
“It was my first time meeting the Bien I’ve all along been hearing people talk about online, he took me like his real brother, he didn’t take me casually the way other artists do,” Marongo added.
Although the project that they were working on is yet to be posted, the duo was first seen together towards the end of April this year in a widely shared playful video. Bien was seen attempting to try on the big shoes of Bradley Gen Z Goliath.
While their encounter wasn’t a formal collaboration announcement, the viral moment captured the imagination of Kenyans, cementing a unique interaction between two figures who embody different facets of national fame.

The interaction, lighthearted as it was, underscored the significant cultural footprint both individuals now hold.
Bradley Marongo’s journey into the national spotlight has been nothing short of extraordinary. He became an overnight sensation around June 2024, during the peak of Kenya’s anti-government protests that ultimately led to the controversial Finance Bill being scrapped.
Amidst the throngs of young demonstrators, Marongo’s remarkable height, often accentuated by his casual attire of shorts, a basketball singlet, and distinctive sandals made from old car tires, made him instantly recognizable.
Videos and photos of him towering above the crowds quickly went viral across social media platforms. His striking appearance not only garnered immense curiosity but also opened doors to interviews, endorsements, and a growing celebrity status that no one, least of all Marongo himself, could have anticipated.
Bien, on the other hand, is a cornerstone of the Kenyan music industry. As the lead vocalist of the iconic Afro-pop band Sauti Sol, he has commanded stages across the globe, crafting timeless hits and shaping the sound of contemporary East African music for over a decade.

Known for his soulful vocals, captivating stage presence, and sharp lyrical wit, Bien transitioned seamlessly into a successful solo career following Sauti Sol’s hiatus. His critically acclaimed album “Alusa Why Are You Topless?” and his Grammy Award for songwriting on Burna Boy’s “Twice As Tall” album further solidified his standing as a musical powerhouse and an advocate for African artistry on the world stage.
