Artist and Konde Music Worldwide music label boss, Harmonize, has changed his stance on demanding his signee, Ibraah, to pay Tsh1 billion before he exits Konde Gang.
In a new update, Kondee Boy said that Ibraah is free to leave without paying anything.
Harmonize addressed the issue and said that asking Ibraah to pay one billion initially was not a way to extort him, but was completely legal according to the contract he signed when joining Konde Gang.
Konde Boy, as he identifies himself, explained that even Ibraah himself was aware of the legality of the clause, as it was in the contract he signed 4 years ago when he was signed to the Konde Music Worldwide label.
“First of all, I admit that my brother Ibraah sent me a message telling me that he wants to leave the label to become an independent artist. And I replied directly that my brother, I wish you all the best, I got your back.”

“I also advised him to do as usual, sit down with the leaders of the Konde gang, review the contract, and analyze to see what can be best done. The contract says that if he wants termination and buys all the rights so that the songs will be his for life and earn from them, he is required to pay the amount of money mentioned in the contract that Ibraah signed 4 years ago,” Harmonize revealed his conversation with Ibraah.
However, after seeing that Ibraah has decided to run rampant with the issue with the aim of making his boss look bad in the eyes of fans and music stakeholders, Harmonize announced that he has now allowed him to leave without paying anything,.
“I saw him ranting online that I’m demanding him to pay 1 billion, let me make it clear that I haven’t demanded that amount from him because I don’t want my money to come back and haunt me later. So from my part, I did my best and now I wish him all the best. I still like him,” Harmonize said.
“As I’m speaking from now on, he is an independent artist. So if you have any gigs, give him so that he can earn a living to support himself and his family,” he added.
Harmonize also said that there have been artists who left his label in the past without any problems, and Ibraah will not be the first to leave in a bad way.
“There have been many artists in the past, like Anjella, Country Boy, Cheed, and Killy, who all left without any problems. All of them own the copyrights to their music for good and for peace. No one has any grievances, and Ibraah will not be the first. That is the way to go, live by lifting each other,” he added.
