Source: Facebook How much money did Kanyari make from Kenyans? The pastor gained infamy for urging Kenyans to send him KSh 310, saying they were planting seeds and would receive supposed miracles. Kanyari later came clean, saying the strategy was not meant for miracles, but a way to escape poverty. He, however, insisted that he performed miracles that included healing people and dragging others out of poverty through prayers. In a recent interview, Kanyari admitted that he is doing well for himself courtesy of the money Kenyans sent him.
Kanyari was tight-fisted when asked about his net worth, but admitted that he is no longer poor. “I am not a tycoon or poor. I’m in the middle. God has helped me,” he said. The preacher boasted about the high attendance in his church from the faithful. “I have a church of over 2,000 people every Sunday. I pray for them and heal them. Some view me as their father because I help them with food and paying rent.” Kanyari disclosed the amounts he made at the height of his popularity. “People would send from KSh 700,000 to KSh 1 million in a day,” he said, laughing. The host was surprised and estimated that Kanyari had made at least KSh 21 million monthly, and the preacher affirmed.
Social media users recalled the KSh 310 saga, while others accused him of taking advantage of Kenyans’ faith. Here are some of the reactions: Trizakamami: “Please refund my KSh 310. I touched the radio but never received blessings.” Vannexkenya: “So what happened?” mwirigi_jp: “Truly, many people in Kenya are gullible.” alboh_nyakwara: “Tough economic times.” mattinn_merteen: “Did he go broke?” itske_nney: “After saying panda mbegu.
