The Kenya Railways has announced that it has suspended the morning link trains to Lukenya and Syokimau.

In a notice on Thursday, April 24, Kenya Railways said the disruption of the train services is due to a blockage of the railway line at Mukuru.

“Kindly note that owing to a blockage of the line at Mukuru, the morning link trains to Lukenya and Syokimau will not run,” Kenya Railways said in a statement on X.

Kenya Railways stated that it has deployed a team to remove the blockage and ensure train services are restored.

In its statement, Kenya Railways also apologised to members of the public affected by the suspension of the train services.

“Our team is on the ground working to ensure that normal services are restored as soon as possible,” read the statement.

“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and will notify you once normal services resume.”
