Nyandarua Governor inspects Olkalou Stadium construction progress

Nyandarua Governor Kiarie Moses Monday conducted a joint inspection of Olkalou Stadium.

The Governor, accompanied by Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano and Defence Principal Secretary Dr. Patrick Mariru received briefing on the development of the stadium’s construction progress.

Today’s inspection visit comes ahead of President William Ruto’s five-day development tour visit to Mt. Kenya after a six month absence.

During the meeting, the President directed the Kenya Defence Forces to oversee and complete the construction of the stadium.

During his tour, the Head of State, is expected to commission completed projects, inspect ongoing ones and launch others under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda.

Some of the projects include roads, affordable housing, fresh produce markets, last mile electricity connectivity, water and irrigation, among others.

The tour will cover nine counties namely; Laikipia, Nyeri, Meru, Kirinyaga, Nyandarua, Murang’a, Embu, Tharaka-Nithi and Kiambu.
