Migori County residents will now enjoy the services of the Migori County Water Sanitation Company (MIWASCO) at the Huduma Centre after the launch of the customer service desk.

Speaking during the launch, Migori Deputy Governor Joseph Mahiri noted that the county residents would now easily access water and sanitation services within the premises of the Huduma Centre.

Mahiri said the initiative would enhance service delivery by bringing essential water services closer to the people, ensuring efficiency and convenience.

He asked members of the public to come and seek services related to water and sewerage within the county, services that include new water connections, bills, renewing water kiosk leases, requesting water bowser services, applying for exhauster services, requesting reconnections, and seeking technical support, among other services.

Huduma Centre Manager Margaret Mwaka however confirmed that the only charges that would be made would be the official charges of MIWASCO.

Mwaka welcomed the county residents to utilise the opportunity available services offered in the centre to access government and county services.

She assured the residents that the Huduma Centre would strive to offer improved and better government services delivered at the right time to improve efficiency.

Migori County Chief Officer of Water and Energy Rahab Robi asked the county residents to report any vandalism to the MIWASCO customer service desk to help the county reduce water spillages and wastages.
