Creative champions to represent Kenya in France

Winners of the Young Lions Kenya competition have been announced after a rigorous judging process earning them the opportunity to represent Kenya at the prestigious Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in France.

The spirit of creativity roared to life at the highly anticipated event that showcased the nation’s brightest young minds in advertising and design.

The competition, sponsored by Kenya Breweries flagship brand, Tusker, challenged participants to demonstrate their skills in Print, Design, and Digital categories, pushing them to deliver innovative and impactful campaigns.

The jury, composed of industry experts, was impressed by the exceptional quality of work presented, highlighting the depth of talent within Kenya’s creative landscape.

The Category Winners in Print saw gold medal snatched by the Vibe Tribe comprising Kelvin Njoroge and Mercy Maina, silver medal went to Kinjal Sheth and Muskaan Shaikh while the Schizzo Design of Jabez Wachira and Newton Wachira won bronze medal.

In the Design category, team Ollie and Lou consisting of Olive Wangari and Louis Lukata won gold medal, Silver went to team Cool Waters of Sylvia Mwihaki and Gathoni Matu while team Full Capacity of Kevin Ikua and Victor Maina managed bronze medal.

On the other hand, the Digital category witnessed Allen Onduru and George Omukanda of Just Bold won gold medal, Scan Social of Martin Sultan and Susan Wangui won silver medal as Arvin Munyiri and Bonface Komo of Team Sisi took home bronze medal.

In the foregoing, gold winners in each category will now embark on an exciting journey to Cannes Lions, in France where they will compete against the world’s best young creatives.

In her remarks, Christine Kariuki, the Marketing Manager for Tusker voiced that the sponsors are incredibly proud of the talent showcased at this year’s Young Lions Kenya competition.

She maintained that Tusker is committed to fostering creativity and providing platforms for young Kenyans to shine.

“We believe these winners represent the future of our industry, and we are excited to support them as they take their talent to the global stage,” expressed Kariuki, reiterating the brand’s honour and pride to be part of a program that lifts up Kenyan Creatives and furthers their careers.

The Young Lions Kenya competition serves as a crucial platform for nurturing the next generation of creative leaders, providing them with invaluable experience and exposure.

In summary, the event’s success underscores the vibrant and dynamic nature of Kenya’s creative industry.
