Bahati has responded to the constant comparison between them and the Rapudo’s, especially Amber Ray who refers to herself as ‘Bibi Ya Tajiri’
The father of five said it is important for people to respect the efforts The Rapudos are making in raising a family and building their brand.
Bahati now says the ‘war’ was created by fans online. This he shared during an interview with Commentator 254.
“We try not to engage in unnecessary fights but I respect Amber Ray so much. I have never met Rapudo but I believe they are doing their best at their level and they should be respected. We should respect this couple, they are doing a good job and they are our friends.”

Bahati went on to add;
“Amber Ray has been my friend for years. God has graced us to do things the industry has not been able to do. We want to support our fellow creatives and not fight them. The biggest competition of the Bahatis is the Bahatis.”
Diana Marua on the other hand shared.
“I call myself Aunty Madooh and my husband is the one with the dooh (money) Everybody has their opinion. At the end of the day, I cannot tell them to shut up, I just sit down, watch and move on.”

Amber had taken to her socials criticizing people bullying her for calling herself ‘Bibi Ya Taajiri.’
“I do not understand why people get angry when I call myself bibi ya Tajiri. We are not in a competition, if I think my husband is rich Lemmie call him that. If you feel like your husband is rich also call him tajiri. You do not even know why I call him that.”
The couple met at a club where Amber was influencing. He waited for her for two years before they started dating.
The father of 3 also revealed when they first met his baby mama, night club host and social media influencer, Amber Ray didn’t really fancy him and was actually trying to set him up with one of her girlfriends
Recounting their first encounter, Rapudo pointed out it was just a coincidence or just the right place at the right time.
“There used to be a club along Thika Road, I can’t quite remember the name but it was famous during the COVID period when there was corona. It was a place where people used to go, pack cars, and chill as they drank and ate.
One day I was there, hanging out with some of my friends, we were seated at a corner just drinking and there was this lady who kept on looking at me.
At the back of my head, I was like, ‘Why is this chile constantly looking at me?’ Kumbe that was Amber Ray. Basically, that is how we first time we met,“ started off the businessman while in an interview with Parents Magazine.

In between the two dates other people. Once Amber became single, Rapudo jumped at the opportunity.
“Patience pays, I didn’t waste time because I was in the queue for almost 2 good years, patience pays. She kept looking at me because she wanted to hook me up with one of her friends but I was actually interested in her.
Eventually, one day when she was available she called or texted me…can’t remember. She asked me if I wanted to have a glass of wine and the rest is history.”
