Friends and family have been thrown into mourning following the death of Nakuru businessman and fashion designer Daniel Kinyanjui, alias Kinya. News of his sudden passing was announced on Facebook by Nakuru City, where he was mourned as an energetic and intelligent entrepreneur. “We have lost a young man. He had one of the best designer shops in Nakuru, Prime Plaza. Rest in peace, Kinya,” read part of the post. What happened to Kinya? Kinya was reportedly involved in an accident on Sunday, 9 February, at Kiondo, along the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway near Shemeji.
Preliminary reports indicate that the young man was speeding before he hit a truck from behind, leading to the fatal crash.
