Traits Homeboyz FM’s Jake Wants in Mum Joyce Gituro’s Suitor

Joyce Gituro, mother to HomeBoyz Radio presenter Jake Njakom has shared qualities she is looking for in a man.

For those in the dark, Joyce was married but parted ways with her husband years ago.

Speaking during an interview with Massawe Japanni, she shared she made a decision not to seriously date until her kids were grown up.

” There are people (hitting on her) but I decided if I got into a serious relationship my kids might suffer. I want someone who is between 50 and 55, I do not want kuwekewa kiti pale mbele being called a widow.”

Gituro warned young men to keep off.

“I do not want young men, Imagine someone who will come to be arguing with Jake?”

Jake on the other hand shared qualities he feels his potential step-dad should have.

“He should be doing better than my mum financially. If you are going to have a chance you should inspire her. Be patient. He should be someone who loves her and treats her by taking her out. Adventurous and a God-fearing man.”

In a past interview Joyce had admitted that her husband left after he was allegedly brainwashed at a church he used to attend.

Gituro stated that her now ex-husband fell into outrageous debts and never explained why he secured loans.

Their marriage woes commenced after her husband directed the family to join the church with questionable doctrine and practices

“I remember one day the pastor said we close the windows and doors so that we chase out the devil. I told my husband I was not very comfortable and went out with my kids.

When I walked out the pastor did not like it and that is where the problems with my husband began. When I talked to him, he reprimanded me for it.”

She suspected that he took all his money to the church. At some point, he came and moved houses carrying everything without Joyce’s knowledge.

“That same year, I had traveled with my children to my sister’s place and a neighbour called, wondering why I was moving out. My husband and two lorries took out all the property and I never heard from him for over a year. I don’t know whether they were auctioneers or he did it by himself.  ‘

Sharing her story during the past interview with her BFF Jerida Andayi, Joyce added;

“I started afresh and I tell you my sister (Jerida), what kept me moving and protected us was my prayers. How I knelt down to pray every day. I used to pray for people on the radio and kept on smiling yet I had my own woes. He was never violent with me but I suffered emotionally,” she recalled.
