Eldoret: Form Two Student Missing Days After Leaving Home for School

A Form Two student at AIC Kessup Girls High School has gone missing, leaving her family and friends distraught and searching for answers. Eldoret: Form Two Student Missing Days After Leaving Home for School  The young girl, identified as Beryl Chemtai, reportedly left her relative’s home in Maili Nne, Eldoret, on Saturday, January 11, at around 9:30 a.m., wearing a blue skirt and white top. Beryl’s father called her school Beryl’s father, Gilbert Chepkwony, told TUKO.co.ke that he had called her teacher prior to his daughter’s departure to inform her that she was on the way.  Given that it was a weekend, the teacher admitted that she wasn’t on the school compound but promised to check on her once she resumed work.

“On Sunday, I didn’t call because I knew it was still a weekend, so I reached out on Monday morning,” he said. The teacher informed the concerned father that the student was in school but sitting an exam so he couldn’t talk to her yet. How Beryl was discovered missing Once the exam was over, the teacher informed Gilbert that the Beryl she thought had arrived was a Form Three student, not his daughter. Despite efforts to search the entire school compound, it emerged that the 14-year-old never reported to the institution.

“We reported the matter to the police and have been working closely with the school administration to trace her. We urge anyone with information to come forward,” Gilbert urged. Her family is deeply concerned about her safety and urges anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward. Anyone with leads is requested to report to the nearest police station or contact Gilbert Chepkwony at 0735670367 or 0723816769.
