Source: Facebook Why IG Douglas Kanja was summoned in court High Court Judge Chacha Mwita had summoned Kanja and Amin in connection with the four individuals who were reportedly abducted from Mlolongo in December 2024.

On Monday, January 13, IG Kanja and the DCI boss, along with their lawyers, failed to appear in court, either virtually or in person, as directed earlier by the High Court judge. A lawyer representing the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) told the court that he had no information regarding Kanja’s whereabouts. The lawyers representing the four missing persons urged the court to cite IG Kanja and the DCI boss for contempt of court due to their failure to comply with orders requiring them to explain the whereabouts of the abductees. However, Justice Mwita opted to give the duo another chance by directing them to personally appear in court on January 17
