Viral Gen Z couple Tony Sherman and Kendi famously known as the maandamano couple, who went viral for finding love during the anti-government demonstrations and getting married just a few weeks into knowing each other have announced they are expecting their first child together.Tony and Kendy met at the height of the anti-government and finance bill protests back in June 2024 and immediately began their romance, their love story went viral when he shared his experience on his Facebook page.
Not less than four months after their interaction, the couple got married (they got engaged 3 weeks after their first date) in an interesting ceremony held at the archives in August for all their fans to attend which was officiated by comedian Mchungaji.
Sadly, they split up just two months later.
Interestingly, the couple have made a new media appearance announcing they have rekindled their romance and are expecting their first child.

According to Tony they had the intervention of their elders in order to be able to resolve their issues.
“Our parents helped us solve our differences,” Tony said during an interview with a local media house.
Excitedly adding, “We’re all feeling good,”
Touching on their newest addition to their young family he emphasized, “my wife and I are happy about it since it’s a blessing to us.
It’s a very good feeling, and we’re hoping for the very best,”
While inviting their fellow citizens to their public holiday Tony and Kendi penned, “We the Maandamano couple Tony and Kendi, would like to invite you to our wedding that will be happening on the 25th of August 2024 in Nairobi CBD where we met. All are invited. It’s about time we officially get married.
Tomorrow is a day to start a new chapter. I know it has got ups and downs but with God everything is possible I pray for the two of us to have a peaceful marriage even though we met in an anti-government protest 😊 See you kesho pale Nairobi CBD at exactly 12pm. All of you are invited Kendi ❤️”
