Diana Marua’s former nanny, Josephine Kinuche, has opened up about her departure from the celebrity couple’s home after working for them for four years.
Josephine, a professional teacher, worked as a nanny for the reality TV stars, caring for their four children during her time with the family.
Speaking through her newly launched YouTube channel, Josephine revealed that her decision to leave was driven by personal reasons and a desire for a change.
She clarified that her exit was amicable and there were no hard feelings between her and the Bahati family.
“Nimetoka huko but (I have left their place) in good faith,” the aspiring content creator began.
Josephine stressed that she remains on good terms with Diana Marua and Bahati despite ongoing online speculations.
She also shared that she plans to explore content creation while resuming her teaching career.
“We are still in touch. I just wanted a change of environment. I’m now fully focused on content creation, though I also work part-time as a teacher. I do homeschooling for lower primary kids,” she explained while encouraging her fans to support her channel.
Josephine ended her statement by praising the Bahati family, describing them as the best employers she has ever had.
“They have been amazing and are still the best so far. They are my best employers. Be blessed wherever you are. I always pray for you and love you,” she shared.
Irene Nekesa’s Exit Sparks Online Debate
Josephine’s exit comes just weeks after Irene Nekesa, another long-serving house help for the Bahati family, quietly left the homestead.
Irene, who had become a familiar face to fans through the family’s YouTube videos and social media content, shocked many with her abrupt departure.
This raised questions about whether claims that the Bahatis paid their house help a monthly salary of Ksh.100,000 were factual or part of social media theatrics.

Unlike previous transitions, Diana Marua did not publicly acknowledge Irene’s exit, further fueling speculation of a fallout.
Recently, Irene went viral after posting a video showcasing the difficult living conditions she currently faces in her small bedsitter.
Her plea for assistance from well-wishers prompted netizens to question how she had managed her finances while working for the Bahati’s.
In a candid interview with Commentator 254, Irene addressed the ongoing speculation about her salary and financial struggles.
“Let me ask you, Commentator, if I were to ask you how much you earn from YouTube, would you tell me? My salary with my boss is personal. Sometimes you even lie to your friends,” Irene said, dismissing the salary rumours.

Irene explained that she is currently facing financial hardship due to her responsibilities as a mother and the primary caregiver for her aging parents and other dependent family members.
“I didn’t have money right now… The money I had went to a videographer. I also have a child and parents to support at home. People think it’s easy, but only you know how to manage your salary. In a family of eight, maybe you’re the only one they depend on,” she added.
Addressing netizens who mocked her for “falling from a mansion to begging,” Irene said the criticism was hurtful and unfair.
“People forget that if you agree on a salary with your boss, that’s what you’ll get. It’s their money, not yours. People will plan your life for you, but you’re the one who knows what’s happening behind the scenes,” Irene concluded.
