John Mugo, a 94-year-old man, and his wife of 50 years are the talk of the town after finally getting married in a lavish wedding on December 14. Tharaka Nithi couple John Mugo and his dear wife Margaret.

Who is Tharaka Nithi county speaker? Mugo, who had attended many weddings in his lifetime, was tired of watching from the sidelines and finally requested his community to help plan a wedding for him and his dear wife. Community leader Dennis Muthomi told TUKO.co.ke that the response to the father of four was overwhelming, as people were willing to support him.

Tharaka Nithi county speaker John Mbabu offered to pay KSh 600,000 for the wedding to make the couple that has lived together for 50 years happy. Where did Mugo have his wedding? The couple walked down the aisle at St Andrew’s Chuka Church and had their reception at Mwanga Chief’s Camp.

It is apparent that the elderly couple had the times of their lives if their wedding photos are anything to go by. In the snaps, Mugo is dressed in a pristine dark blue suit, while his wife, Margaret, looks beautiful in a flowing Cinderella gown and a veil.

Their flower girls are in white dresses, while their bridesmaids are in flattering pink dresses. The two were ferried in high-end cars, and at some point, they stood in their car and interacted with their community as they were being ferried to their reception. 79-year-old grandpa marries gorgeous bride

In another story, a 79-year-old man from Eldoret married a young bride at a beautiful wedding, months after losing his first wife. The elderly man, with support from his church, found new love after sharing his desire to remarry with church elders. His grandson told TUKO.co.ke that his sons initially opposed his decision to marry again but eventually warmed up to the idea.
