A Kenyan mother has taken to social media to share her heartbreak after her plan to save money backfired. Young lady looking tired, sad and disappointed. The heartbroken mother noted she had financial struggles, especially in paying school fees for her children. Her kids attended a posh private school, and since she wanted to save money on school fees, she transferred them to a public school.

She hoped the move would save her thousands of Kenyan shillings, but it left her more broke and needy. “At the beginning of the year, I let my kids attend a public school. I did that to save KSh 10,000 per month on fees.

It is not the end of the world, and I cannot show you I have saved KSh 10,000. I am negative KSh 50,000 with nothing to show,” she cried. The mother said she contemplated returning her kids to the luxurious private school where her money could go to ‘waste’ paying fees. She lamented that the public school she took her kids to did not offer a competency-based curriculum (CBC) education system.
