Riggy G Interview Sparks Heated Reactions

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua surprised Kenyans last evening during a live interview on NTV. Known for his bluntness, Gachagua didn’t hold back as he addressed various issues, giving opinions and viewpoints that left many tongues wagging.

His fiery commentary ignited a social media storm, with netizens sharing mixed reactions.

Here’s what some Kenyans had to say:

Calvin™ (@calvin_ski): “@rigathi is speaking from experience in the Provincial Administration. He has his facts straight.”

The Government Critic 🇰🇪 (@magwaz3): “Riggy G should be invited to more TV interviews so he could continue spilling the beans.”

Dan Nyagah (@dan_nyagah): “An appreciate tweet to Riggy G. The most truthful man in East and Central Africa.”

Depalma (@OLekonte20): “Truthful Man indeed.”

Grace (@GraceMbatia9): “Our hero and our leader.”

The former DP’s 2024 has been filled with major ups and downs

Some even noted his demeanor:

JumaCJ (@JumaCJ1): “He looks relaxed. Retirement must be good for him.”

Kendi Majau (@KendiBosset): “Hadi anaglow.”

k0imet 🫠 (@k0imet): “No, he’s not truthful. He’s selectively truthful or rather just ‘truthful’ when need be. You will never know when he’s lying while hiding behind the ‘truthful’ aspect.”

Frank Mwenda o Kaiga (@FTrump100): “We should stop the kind of politics where you talk sense and become a saint when you are out of the government. When young people were killed by his regime, he never said a thing.”

Oliver Wabwire (@oliverwabwire): “This would’ve ‘hit differently’ if he had chosen to resign ‘in principle’ at the first whiff of impropriety. But he first had to be dragged out of office ‘kicking & wailing’!”

Others criticized his past actions:

Evangeline Mukua (@mukua_karimi): “Alaaaa, wewe ni watermelon 🍉 LoL 😂.”

Abuzenga Bazuu (@Dresco126653823): “Mtu wa mitego na shares, kidogo hana shares tena na mitego yake.”

The politician has been vocal ever since his impeachment back in October

Highs and Lows since Impeachment

The politician has faced a series of highs and lows since his impeachment back in October. Suspected goons disrupted a funeral ceremony in Limuru attended by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on 28th November.

Mourners scampered to safety as the rowdy group emerged from behind the tent where Gachagua and other leaders were seated, forcing them to flee.

Videos posted on X show the invading party throwing plastic chairs at escaping groups of people.

Just a few days earlier, the wealthy leader had had a heroes welcome at Ihura stadium where thousands of Kenyans celebrated and cheered Gachagua who had made a surprise entrance.

Despite his overwhelming popularity, the event host refused to give Gachagua the opportunity to address the chanting crowd.

Where the politician goes from here is anyone’s guess

Conclusions

One wonders what this new interview and the subsequent revelations will do for the embattled leader.
