The Forex community was in mourning as they gathered on Saturday November 29 to bid farewell to Akoko Siral ‘Billionaire’ who was laid to rest following his tragic death in November.
‘Billionaire’ Akoko Sirkal aka Sospeter Onyango Osunga was laid to rest in Yimbo, Siaya county in a ceremony that united family and friends in grief.
The 23 year old rich kid was mourned by family and friends in poignant messages as an enterprising youth, who managed to build an impressive ushago home.
As Akoko’s coffin, transported by a hearse and arrived at the burial site, friends lined the streets to pay their last respects.
Akoko Sirkal’s coffin was adorned with flowers and a cross and was solemnly carried by pallbearers.
Before his burial, his coffin was placed at the entrance of their rural home, with his Black Audi beside the tent, leaving many emotional as they recalled moments with him.

He was a fourth-year Kirinyaga University student, who was lynched by a mob of bodaboda riders following a heated confrontation supposedly outside a nightclub.
Witnesses at the scene claim Akoko arrived in Kibera in an Audi Q3, accompanied by a male and female friend, and parked outside a popular joint. He wanted to buy a round of drinks for his friends and revelers as well, according to other allegations of how the night unfolded.
This claim enraged the gang, who reportedly accused Akoko of being a thief. The individuals were supposedly armed with crude weapons and attacked the ‘Billionaire’ several times.
He was said to have been stabbed seven times. The two individuals he had arrived with were also injured but escaped before alerting police.
Akoko succumbed to his injuries on the spot, and his body was transported to the Chiromo Morgue pending an autopsy. His friends, who sustained serious wounds, were rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Akoko’ died almost a month after the death of another Kirinyaga University student, Dennis Oduor Otieno, also known as Denno Bright.
The two were familiar with each other.
Denno was also wealthy and his fleet of vehicles and flashy lifestyle was a common characteristic.
They were said to be part of the Forex community, who frequently partied.
Denno, aged 25, passed away on October 10, 2024, in a Mombasa apartment after reportedly collapsing following a night of heavy partying.
Friends showed a video of him being carried away into a bedroom. They were discussing how he had had too much to drink and wanted him to sleep it off.
An autopsy revealed heart complications, acute pancreatitis, and a depressed central nervous system, conditions often linked to excessive alcohol consumption or substance use.
Dennis Oduor Otieno was also laid to rest in his home village in Siaya.
On 17th October, Akoko paid tribute to Denno Bright on his social media. “Go Well Bright 😭😭😭” sharing a video collage of the two of them hanging out, and also separately of Denno by his car.
