Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba has set the record straight regarding the KCSE exams scheduled for Friday, November 1. Education CS Julius Ogamba has stated that Kindiki’s swearing-in ceremony will not affect the ongoing KCSE exams. This comes after acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi issued a gazette notice declaring Friday a public holiday to facilitate Kithure Kindiki’s swearing-in as deputy president. Will KCSE exams continue as scheduled?
In a press statement released on Thursday, October 31, the education cabinet secretary confirmed that the exams will proceed as planned. “The Ministry of Education wishes to inform the public that the declaration of the holiday will not interrupt the ongoing KCSE examinations papers scheduled for Friday November 1, 2024,” the statement read in part. Ogamba also emphasized that all Multi-Agency Examination Administration Team members must report to work.
This is to ensure that normal examination activities are carried out according to the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education. “This directive shall also apply to all other basic education institution that are in session,”the statement read in part.
